The 11th Global Forum for Hunan Entrepreneurs kicked off in Huaihua on September 13, 2024. Representatives of Hunan entrepreneurs, academicians and experts, chambers of commerce, and famous private entrepreneurs from all over the world gathered in Huaihua to express their sentiments about their hometowns and seek common development.

Gao Yunlong, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, conferred the plaques to the Hunan Entrepreneurs Friendship Association and the Hunan Entrepreneurs Headquarters Base. Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial committee and governor of Hunan Province, delivered a speech. Mao Wanchun, chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, was present. Secretary Shen and Governor Mao met with some guests before the opening ceremony.

Landmark projects of the "Welcoming Fellow Townsmen to Return to Hometowns and Build Hometowns" campaign were conferred with plaques, the "Second New Hunan Contribution Awards" presented, and the Hunan Golden Furong Investment Fund promoted at the meeting. A total of 29 major projects were signed on the site.
Xiang Wenbo, Party secretary and president of Sany Group; Xiu Laigui, chairman of Xiuzheng Pharmaceutical Group; and, Chen Letian, chairman of the Hunan Chamber of Commerce in Guangdong Province and president of Hetian Investment Group, made speeches.

Provincial leaders Sui Zhongcheng, Qin Guowen, Wu Lan, Zhou Haibing, Cao Zhiqiang, Zhang Jian; Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Huang Boyun, Li Jiancheng, Chen Xuegeng, Wu Qiang, Liu Liang, Zhu Kun, and Zhu Liguo; and, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Ding Hong, attended.
