Hunan Sees Over 16.79 Million Visits During Mid-Autumn Festival

The Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism announced the cultural tourism market data during this year's Mid-Autumn Festival on September 18. The telecommunication data showed that Hunan received more than 16.79 million tourist visits during the three-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. Among them, there were over 10.43 million overnight and 6.35 million one-day tourist visits, accounting for 62.16% and 37.84% respectively. During the holiday, tourists from outside the province made more than 1.97 million visits to Hunan, accounting for 11.74% of the total, and the number of visits made by tourists from the province was over 14.82 million, making up 88.26% of the total.

During the holiday, the average length of stay of overnight tourists was 1.652 days. The average length of stay of overnight tourists from outside the province was 1.71 days, and the average length of stay of overnight tourists from the province was 1.65 days. According to the China UnionPay data, the average daily spending of tourists reached 570.25 CNY. The total tourist expenditure exceeded 13.4 billion CNY during the holiday.
