The Hengyang Industrial Old Photos Exhibition, which is a key observation project of the 3rd Hunan Tourism Development Conference, kicked off in the Jianxiang Industrial Culture Block on September 22. It leads citizens and tourists to review the glorious history of Hengyang’s industry and feel nostalgic for the unique industrial past.

Nearly 200 works selected out from thousands of old photos are on exhibit, showcasing the grand theme of the industrial era and reflecting on the simple and authentic life.

These photos vividly depict every important moment of Hengyang’s development in different historical periods and witness the glorious process of Hengyang’s industry from small to large. For instance, tourists can feel the persistent pursuit and unremitting struggle of Jianxiang people towards their industrial dreams in the chapter of “Jianxiang”, experience the development scenes of Hengyang in the early stage of the Anti-Japanese War in the chapter of “Industrial Enlightenment”, and enjoy the brilliant achievements and profound memories of Hengyang’s industry in various fields from a grander perspective in the chapter of “Passionate Era”.

At the same time, the Jianxiang Industrial Culture Block has also developed an online mini program to create a cloud exhibition.

This is the most comprehensive exhibition of industrial photos in Hengyang and also the first audio photo exhibition. Viewers can scan the QR code on each photo to listen to the stories behind them, experience the magnificent industrial era, and appreciate the craftsmanship spirit of “Made in Hengyang”.
