The Badaling Culture and Tourism Group on Thursday held its first tourism product innovation competition, which concluded after a monthlong collection of 32 creative submissions.

A total of 10 outstanding projects, featuring quality leisure, cultural journey, gastronomic adventure and the Badaling Great Wall in northwestern Beijing's Yanqing district, advanced to the final.

Those projects encompass a wide range of sectors, including transportation services, scenic area operations, hospitality and catering, digital economy and cultural creativity.

The Great Wall-themed cultural dining that blends intangible cultural heritage with modern design, and night boating on the nearby Guihe River, integrating ancient costume experience and cultural performance, stood out in the finals.

Rong Xinfeng, chairman of the Badaling Culture and Tourism Group, says the competition not only showcased the profound heritage of Great Wall culture but also introduced new concepts of smart tourism and cross-industry integration.

The group will accelerate the transformation of those product designs into tangible results.

"Our goal is to empower the development of tourism in Yanqing and offer visitors more exciting culture and tourism experiences," Rong says.
